VASILIOS ZEIMPEKIS, Ph.D. - Senior Consultant
Dr. Vasileios Zeimpekis acts as Executive Advisor in OPTILOG Advisory Services and is also the Vice President of Operations at the BoD of the Hellenic Logistics Association. His interests focus on Supply Chain Management with an emphasis on Sustainable Transport & Information Systems. He is also appointed as logistics and transport expert in the Hellenic Committee for Logistics Competitiveness and in the United Nations (UNECE). His research interests focus on Supply Chain Management with an emphasis on Transport/Logistics operations & Information Systems. He has published 6 edited volumes in the management of Supply Chains and more than 60 papers and studies in academic journals and conferences. During the last 15 years, he has participated in more than 40 research and 100 industrial projects.
Vasileios is also a reviewer at the Hellenic General Secretariat of Research & Development, as well as at the European Union (DG MOVE). Dr. Zeimpekis holds a BEng(Hons) in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Essex (UK), an MSc in Mobile & Satellite Communications from the University of Surrey (UK), and an MSc in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick (UK). He earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Management Science and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business (GR). Dr. Zeimpekis is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, of the Economic Chamber of Greece, and the European Technical Chamber (FEANI).
ANASTASIOS GIALOS, MSc. - Consultant
Anastasios is currently employed in OPTILOG as a consultant in sustainable logistics. His interests focus on green operations, combined transport, warehouse optimization, and cost. Before joining OPTILOG, he was working in a leading 3PL company in Greece as well as a research associate in European-funded projects. During his undergraduate studies, he joined the Design, Operations, & Production Systems (DeOPSys) Lab situated at the University of the Aegean as a research assistant. Anastasios holds a Dipl. Ing. in Financial and Management Engineering (with major in Project and Operations Management) from the University of the Aegean and an MSc in Industrial Management and Technology (with major in Logistics Management) from the University of Piraeus.
ΚLEONIKI FONIADAKI, MSc. - Associate Consultant
Kleoniki was born in Heraklion Crete and has studied at the University of Piraeus Greece – Department of Industrial Management and Technology. She got her basic Degree in “Industrial Management and Technology”. She participated in the Postgraduate Programme in Industrial Management – Sector “Logistics” that is offered as a collaboration of the Department of Industrial Management and Technology of the University of Piraeus and the School of Chemical Engineering of the National Technical University. Currently, she works at the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF) and as an external associate in OPTILOG Advisory Services.
